Saffron smoothie is one among those which can help you burn your fats a little quicker and is best to drink before doing workouts. Adding bananas or mangoes makes it more delicious and nutritious.
Banana is one of the main ingredients you may find in healthy smoothie recipes or in any other healthy breakfast. It lowers blood pressure, reduces the risk of cancer, boosts mood, and helps maintain overall health.
Mango is another good ingredient for healthy smoothies which is packed with vitamin C, B6, A, and more.
So, let’s try this simple saffron smoothie recipe and add it to your healthy breakfast routine with your favorite and healthier ingredients.


Ingredients
- Grill:
- 1/2 cup Milk or Almond Milk
- 1 Banana or Mango
- 1 cup Greek Yogurt
- 1/2 teaspoon Saffron
- 1/2 tablespoon Honey or Maple Syrup
- Ice (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Add saffron strands in 3 – 4 tablespoons of cold water and let it steep.
- Peel the fruit (banana or mango). Chop into small pieces and add it to the blender along with honey and cold milk.
- Now add the saffron water and not the strands in the blender.
- Mix until the mixture gets smooth and there is no chunk left in it.
- Add ice and mix it again. Serve with a sprinkle of 2- 3 saffron threads.
TIPS:
- You can use ice cream as a sweetener instead of yogurt and syrup.
- You may use it for infants but avoid sugar, ice cream, and ice cubes in that case.
- A pinch of cardamom can enhance the smell and flavor.
